What is Peaceful Panels about?

I like to call Peaceful Panels “the ASMR of comics". It is a visual representation of the inner calm and stillness you feel when you experience peace around you. Each set of panels is accompanied by poetry or prose, written to express the feeling as I was illustrating each piece.

How did you start this series?

I started this series in 2019, when I was feeling burnt out from my other projects and in the middle of traveling in the beautiful mountains of Japan. I was looking out into the nature and felt an immense sense of calm and stillness. I wished to capture that moment in my art.

So, Peaceful Panels began with the intent of sharing that feeling with others. Hopefully, as you look at the word-less panels, you too can have your own feelings, whatever it may be.

If you choose, you may also read the poetry or prose that accompanies each piece, which is another art form that accentuates the beauty of each moment.
